Day Rate is a special Room Rate FOR less than an overnight stay.
Other definition:
Special rate for non-overnight use of a hotel room. Usually good only between 6:00am and 5:00pm.
Other definition:
Day rate is also called a day room. A reduced rate granted for the use of a guest room during the daytime, not overnight occupancy. Usually provided on a tour when a very late-night departure is scheduled.
