Continental Breakfast is a small morning meal that usually includes a drink, rolls, butter, and jam or marmalade. Better hotels may serve brioches and croissants.
There are variations to the Continental Breakfast. Cafe com-plate refers to Continental Breakfast with coffee (or tea) while cafe simple refers to just coffee or tea with nothing to eat.
Continental breakfast is the simple breakfast served at many motels and hotels, consisting of a hot beverage (coffee or tea), milk, juice, and various breads and pastries (bagels, toast, croissants, muffins,...) with butter, cream cheese and jams.
Continental breakfast is at a minimum, a beverage (coffee, tea, or milk) and rolls and
toast, with fruit juice sometimes included.
