- Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) (Not Insurance) : Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) (Not Insurance)  is the LDW  is an optional Customer service which, when purchased at the commencement of the rental, relieves the renter or authorized drivers of responsibility for any loss of or damage to the rental car if the car is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental contract. If LDW is not purchased, the renter becomes responsible for any and all loss of or damage to the car resulting from any cause other than accidental fire or acts of God.
