French: Hypogée de Hal Safliéni
The Hal Saflieni Hypogeum is a World Heritage Site in Malta defined by the UNESCO in 1980 and definitely a recommended cultural sightseeing location.
It is on position 375 (400, 50) in our monthly survey..

"The Hypogeum is an enormous subterranean structure excavated c. 2500 B.C., using cyclopean rigging to lift huge blocks of coralline limestone. Perhaps originally a sanctuary, it became a necropolis in prehistoric times."
