First Nations  is a collective term for the original, pre-European inhabitants of the US, Canada, Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand. In individual countries, different terms are sometimes used, for example, Aboriginal, indigenous, tribal, Indian, First Peoples, Native American, AmerIndian.
