Historic Centre of Sighisoara

French: Centre historique de Sighisoara
The Historic Centre of Sighisoara is a World Heritage Site in Romania defined by the UNESCO in 1999 and definitely a recommended cultural sightseeing location.
It is on position 52 (446, 730) in our monthly survey.

"Founded by German craftsmen and merchants known as the Saxons of Transylvania, Sighisoara is a fine example of a small, fortified medieval town which played an important strategic and commercial role on the fringes of central Europe for several centuries."
