An Airport Hotel is the Lodging properties located near a public airport (usually within 8 km or 5 miles), which derive a significant amount of demand from the airport.

Although airport hotels vary widely in service levels and size, they are generally full-service and are more likely than other hotels to have in-room films, call accounting systems and computerised property management systems.
